My work reflects on the bond between object and maker, and on the silent, unintentional shifts arising from repeated, physical, and contemplative labor. In laboring with material, I seek the moment when the maker becomes estranged from his former self—when repetition transforms the familiar and unfolds like a wave, revealing a path naturally formed, yet eternally untrodden.
